Cleaning Quartz Worktops

Every quartz manufacturer have their own set of care and cleaning instructions that are specific to that manufacturer and brand. As these are mostly the same, we have used Silestones excellent product care and cleaning videos in our easy cleaning guide. All products and methods shown in these videos are safe to use on any of the quartz products we sell.
We strongly suggest that you first read the instructions set out by the manufacturer / brand of stone that you have to avoid invalidating your warranty . clicking on the link for the brand you have will take you to that company’s information on care and cleaning.
While quartz is very easy to care for and clean using the methods described in the videos below it is advisable to only use products that are approved by the manufacturer. Cif actifizz, cif bathroom cream cleaner and scotch brite, non-scratch scourers as shown in the silestone videos are acceptable products to use on any of the branded quartz we sell. If you have a specific cleaning method or/ and product that you wish to use please contact us and we will be happy to supply you with a sample of the quartz or granite you have to test for suitability. However, we cannot be held responsible if you damage your worktops using a product or method that is not approved by the company / brand of product that you have installed.

Cleaning and maintenance
If you have a quartz worktop in your kitchen, you enjoy a product with exceptional beauty and durability. If you want to prolong these characteristics, we are going to help you to properly clean your kitchen and keep it looking like the first day you had in installed.
Step 1  Take a damp scourer and apply cif actifizz , rub gently on the kitchen worktop.

Step 2   Leave on the surface for 2 minutes

Step 3    Take a damp cloth and remove the rest of Cif actifizz to avoid any chemical residue

Step 4     After removing the rest of the Cif residue, use paper towels to dry the surface and ensure no product is left on the surface.

Step 1  Take the Cif Acti-Fizz and apply it to the stain

Step 2   Leave on the surface for 2 minutes

Step 3    With a scotchbrite, non scratch scourer sponge , rub softly in circles

Step 4     Take a damp cloth and remove any residue. Then dry with a paper towel.Ensure no product is left on the surface.

Step 1  Take the Cif Acti-Fizz and apply it to the stain

Step 2   Leave on the surface for 2 minutes

Step 3    With a scotch-brite, non scratch scourer sponge , rub softly in circles on the stain.

Step 4    If it doesn’t disappear, repeat from step 2 using “CIF bathroom Cream cleaner”

Step 5     Take a damp cloth and remove any residue. Then dry with a paper towel.Ensure no product is left on the surface.

Step 1  Take the Cif Acti-Fizz and apply it to the stain

Step 2   Leave on the surface for 5 minutes

Step 3    With a scotch-brite, non scratch scourer sponge , rub softly in circles on the stain.

Step 4    If it doesn’t disappear, repeat from step 2 using “CIF bathroom Cream cleaner”

Step 5     To ensure that they have been removed, we will wipe a damp cloth and we will dry with paper towel.Ensure no product is left on the surface.

Very hot pots and pans should never be placed on stone surfaces as they can occasionally cause serious consequences to the appearance of the material. It is always recommended to use a pan stand/trivet on which to place hot objects after using them to cook.
DO NOT use cleaners such as de-greasers, oven cleaners and bleach on the worktops If this type of product comes into contact with work surface remove swiftly with a damp cloth and dry the area with paper towels
